Tuesday, November 19, 2013:
As part of the Disaster Recovery (DR) Round 2 program, the City of Houston is investing federal funds in both single family home repair and multifamily programs. Currently, the City is contacting OST / South Union homeowners that submitted the initial Outreach Form for home repair assistance.
The OST / South Union area was also selected to receive a significant investment in the creation of a quality, affordable multifamily community, known as the Village at Palm Center. The mixed-use, mixed-income community will be located at the intersection of MLK and Griggs Road. The City’s Housing and Community Development Department (HCDD) is hosting a meeting for community leaders and the developer on Tuesday, November 19th, at the Palm Center at 6pm. This is an opportunity for the community to meet the developer, talk to the architect, learn about the project, ask questions and exchange ideas.
